"THEORETICAL SUBSTANTIATION OF THE RESEARCH OF MECHANISMS OF THE WORMWOOD CIGAR EFFECT"
Review on the work of G. Sirota and V. Kozlenko.
This work is of current interest and is informative, as it contains an original concept about the mechanisms of the effect of the wormwood cigar and other reflex influences upon the human organism. The comparative characteristics of the spectrums of space radiation in the infrared range and the spectrums obtained when burning wormwood prove the availability of radiation in the wormwood cigar spectrum infrared range correspond to the "opaque windows" of cosmic radiation.
The history of acupuncture number several thousands years and gave the world two ways of influence on the acupuncture points which consider to be classic ones. They are acupuncture and cauterization Chinese. These methods were used, together during thousands years, supplementing and sometimes fully replacing each other.
The wonder is that the number of scientific articles devoted to cauterization is much smaller then the articles devoted to acupuncture. Especially if some peculiarities of cauterization should be taken into account. Thus, it is widely known that the traditional Chinese medicine recommends to use for cauterization wormwood which grows in the region of the patient's residence. A great importance is attached also to the period of wormwood's drying. It is considered that 3-years drying helps to cure 7-years disease.
Considering that modern urbanization and environment pollution achieved such a high level that in a number of regions sorts of plants including some kinds of wormwood, natural for these regions, begin to disappear, the question arises of possibility to use for treatment the wormwood from the other regions of the world, and such practice is already applied, taking into consideration world-wide use of wormwood cigars manufactured in Chine.
The possible mechanisms of wormwood influence on the acupuncture point are studied insufficiently, Besides this, it would be interesting to elicit some connection between the period of wormwood's drying and its cure properties.
The
authors of this article suppose that, when burning, wormwood's electromagnetic
radiations are educed with the properties untypical for environment, what is of
importance for mechanism of wormwood influence on the acupuncture points. For
proof of the fact that there are such radiations, the study of wormwood
spectrums was fulfilled in infra-red range. 15 sorts of wormwood from the
herbarium of Ukrainian institute of botanic, were
picked up in different regions of
These 15 kinds of wormwood were researched:

It
was established that with each of the 14 kinds of wormwood, irrespective of
their
gathering
and drying times, the following regularity was observed: the part of the
spectrum
that corresponds to the "opaque windows" of cosmic radiation (see Fig.
1).
Thus, when burning wormwood infrared radiation of electromagnetic waves is
released.
This takes place in the realm of cosmic radiation; under ordinary
conditions
the radiation does not penetrate the Earth's atmosphere because of the
ozone,
water streams and carbonate acid. Parallel to this research, the spectrums
of
the infrared rage of other medicinal herbs as well as that of a tree were
studied;
however
with these, no radiation corresponding to "opaque windows" was
detected.
It was established that with each of the 15 kinds of wormwood, irrespective of their gathering and drying times, the following regularity was observed: the part of the spectrum that corresponds to the "opaque windows" of cosmic radiation (see Fig. 1). Thus, when burning wormwood infrared radiation of electromagnetic waves is released. This takes place in the realm of cosmic radiation; under ordinary conditions the radiation does not penetrate the Earth's atmosphere because of the ozone, water streams and carbonate acid. Parallel to this research, the spectrums of the infrared rage of other medicinal herbs as well as that of a tree were studied; however with these, no radiation corresponding to "opaque windows" was detected.
Thus was made the unique discovery, the sense of which comes to the fact, that only the wormwood (at the process of burning) can create the specific factor in infrared range. This corresponds to the definite specter of cosmic radiation, which only partially gets onto the Earth due to the "opaque windows" (or the absorption) of the Earth atmosphere's cosmic radiation by the help of water steams, carbonate acid and ozone.
Nevertheless, today we are able already to speak about the heightened sensibility of acupuncture points to the definite specters of cosmic radiation and also its efficiency in the Earth's atmosphere at the moment of burning of wormwood cigars, wormwood cones and merely the wormwood itself.
The authors of given work consider that burning wormwood influences acupuncture points. Thus causing the appearance of malfunctioning adaptation mechanisms in acupuncture points (AP).
This can lead to the partial perishing of cells in AP as a result of effects of the factors, unusual in the Earth's atmosphere (such as unusual radiation spectrums of wormwood, temperature conditions, etc.).
Similar situation can happen when penetration with needle, substances like SH2 and radioactive substances (as for instance, radioactive elements).
It confirms the ancient Chinese views on the space origin of medical properties of "jzhen-and dzu-therapy", at least what concerns "dzu".

"Opaque windows" – absorption's strips with maximums:
When being in l state – 0,93; 1,13; 1,40; 1,87; 2,74; mkm belong to water steams;
When l state is – 2,7 and 4,26 – carbonate acide;
When l state is approximately 9,5 mkm – ozone.
Absorption's strips don't give possibility to cosmic radiation to penetrate the Earth and correspond to wormwood's spectrums when burning.
